Villains Montage!

So before the Villains scene in the Fashion for Philanthropy fashion show, a montage showed of clips of Disney villains that inspired the collection. The short montage was made by another Fordham University student, Brendan Banks! A couple of weeks before the show I sent him some clips that I really liked and that I thought portrayed the Villain I was trying to posses in my collection and Brendan knocked it out of the park. When I saw the montage for the first time I had chills because it was exactly what I wanted! He did such a great job and truly put the icing on the cake for my scene!

Check out the video below and you can also see some of his other projects too!

Ah Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!

"I'ma rock this sh*t like fashion, as in going till they say stop." -Rihanna

My professional photos have arrived!!

My surprise guest, Mr. Corey Woods opening the scene.

Rosanna working the purple train!

Scharon, in one of my favorite dresses of the collection. When I first sketched this dress out, my mom told me it was going to look like something "Snooki" from the Jersey Shore would wear, but I proved her wrong. The dress was classic yet sexy at the same time, with the front fully covered, while the back was completely exposed.

Zaily in the striped mini dress!

Alexandra in the polka dotted dress with tulle peplum detail!

Lauren in the lime green pants and black corset! The pants fit her so well she asked me to make her a pair in navy blue :)

Annmarie in the infamous teal speckled blazer! My favorite piece of the collection besides the lime green tulle skirt.

Maddie in the fuscia wrap top and leather shorts! Girlfriend did the ultimate quick change after she modeled in the first couple of scenes, then performed with Flava during intermission, then had to get dressed and a hair/makeup change all within 10 minutes.

Leigha in the polka dotted mini dress with leather and tulle detailing on the shoulders!

The back of Leigha's dress!

Kara in the fuscia tulle skirt! I've decided I will be wearing this to the Under the Tent dance during Spring Weekend! :D

Ashton in the asymmetrical lime green dress! I don't have a picture of the back, but the straps criss-crossed leaving the back open. It looks so amazing on her.

Evangeline in the black leather dress with a one shoulder of pleated tulle and tulle detailing at the hem!

Michelle in the black leather and teal dress! Loves.

Kristin in the striped skirt and vest! The collar was very Maleficent inspired.

Madeline in the lime green tulle skirt!! I chose this picture so you could see the spider bracelet!

VILLAIN ARMY!

What you lookin' at Kris?

Oh Hayyyy! My parents friend almost crawled on stage to get those flowers to me, she's such a sweet heart! And as you can see I have such great stage presence, every picture of me my eyes are closed and my hand is over my face.

I make the clothes, not model them haha.

I'm doing a small photo shoot with my girls on Eddies/Keating Steps/ parading around the Bronx on Wednesday, April 28th, if you want to catch a peek! They will be shot by my friend Dan!

Article In The Ram!!

In this weeks The Ram for Fordham University is a great article about the show!!! Its really nothing but good feedback from the reporter and from the attendees! Vice President Molly McLoone [who's blog you can see here] and myself both got quoted in the article!

Take a look!

It was such an honor designing a collection for this foundation AND for this club, especially because this group of people worked so hard to pull of something truly magical.

MUAH-HA-HA!!

The FFP Fashion Show was AMAZING. What an exciting experience. I really didn't know I could be so nervous about something until 5 minutes before my girls walked out on the runway.

So I got to the Fordham University Rose Hill Gym at 2:30pm day of the show and immediately started doing hair and make-up on my girls. My sister did the make-up where she lined the girls eyes with thick black liner and then went over that with white liner. All the girls wore dark purple lipstick as well. I did most of the girls hair, which was poufed up on top, with slicked back sides and teazed pony tails. I'm so proud of this collection because of the idea that it was a complete family process down to every last detail.

Here are only a couple of pictures from a mobile phone because I haven't gotten my photos yet, but ENJOY!

Rosanna in the black dress with purple tulle train. Girlfriend worked it out!! It was hard to walk with that train because it kept on getting stuck to her shoes, but she made it work!

ANNMARIEEEEE! This blazer is getting sooo much buzz. Everyone is asking about it and it's all because AnnMarie worked. it. out. This piece was the most professional looking and the one I was most proud of because of how chic it looked. The print also made it pop.

Leigha in the black and purple polka dotted dress with leather shoulders! On the girls with short hair, we did a curly fohawk, Rihanna inspired of course.

Evangeline in the leather and pleated tulle dress. People have told me that she looked like a fem-bot in this dress, which is AMAZING. I've also gotten 4 orders for this dress. It's pure sex and rock and roll.

I DIEEEEEEEE. The beautiful Madeline in the green tulle skirt! I still get chills thinking about cueing her down the runway in this skirt. From my POV, it was an amazing experience to see this skirt in action and Madeline completely rocked the runway in it.

THE FINALE WALK!!! They literally looked like an Army of b*tches, exactly how I imagined it. LOVESSSSSS!!

This picture was taken right after the girls had walked the runway and we were all SO pumped. We all posed with the GAGA "Bad Romance" claws.

I feel so accomplished and proud of this collection. I've spend the last 3 months making the pieces for this show and when it came down to it, I wouldn't change one piece. The best part was that all of models got soooo into being evil and walked at the exact same pace. The show came together perfectly because of all of them. They really listened to my advice on walking, not smiling, and really FEELING like a villain.

More photos and a VIDEO are coming, so stay tuned.

AND, if you like what you see, I'm taking orders so get them in soon!

THE DAY HAS COME!!

The FFP Fashion Show is TONIGHT!!!!

AHHH! We had a dress rehearsal last night and it went realllllllly well! On Tuesday I had a fitting and my music wasn't working with the theme I am going for [Villains], so I had to switch it up a little bit, but now it is killer!

I need to go over to the gym asap and help set up for the show, then go to my 1 o'clock class, then head back to the gym from 2:30pm to show time! A lot needs to get done before 7pm tonight, but I have not a doubt in my mind that the show will be great!

Hope you can make it and...

Welcome to the Madhouse.

DONE-ZO!

I have officially finished all 15 pieces of my Villains collection with 5 days to spare! I even made myself something to wear for the show :) My mom and I put this past weekend to good use by doing last minute things, such as hook-and-eye closures, hems, alterations, etc. Obviously I didn't make my Easter deadline but having some days to dedicate solely to fittings and finishing touches is a nice feeling.

Over the past 2 weeks I have spoke with Brendan, the montage coordinator, who is making a video to play before my scene of movie clips of certain villains that inspired my collection, such as Ursula, Maleficent, and the Evil Queen. I also met with the DJ, Richie,  and we went over songs and the order for my scene. Everything seems to be in good shape, it's just getting all of my girls on the same schedule to have a complete practice and fitting.

Sorry, no picture this time! You'll just have to wait until the show on Friday.

First Fitting!

So, I had my first fitting on Sunday with my models and it was better than imagined! There are very little alterations that I need to make to the dresses and other than that, everything else is looking really good on my girls! I had them try on the pieces that I chose for them and then took polaroid pictures with the accessories to have an idea of what looks good with certain pieces.

Sorry, the picture was taken from a cell phone.

It's officially April 1st, so that means only a little more than 2 weeks until the show! I still have 2 looks to finish, 3 if you include what I am going to wear.

THE PRESSURE IS ON!
